I started the year with the discovery that a photo I had uploaded onto the website of my favourite crochet magazine, Interweave Crochet, of me wearing a top I had recently crocheted, had been published in the magazine! I was thrilled... Meanwhile, even more exciting was the news that I could finally share with the world, I was having another baby.
In February I took on an Acting Team Leader role at work, an exciting challenge through which I gained new skills and experiences, met new people and fine-tuned my goals for the future.
With much anticipation The Hunger Games Movie was released in cinemas. This was one of my favourite movies to come out this year, it was a brilliant adaptation of the book. Other movies I enjoyed this year were Snow White and the Huntsman, Breaking Dawn Part 2, and Pitch Perfect.
Over Easter we had our first and last holiday as a family of three. There were penguins, koalas, beaches, farm animals, chocolate and lots of yummy food that I didn't have to cook. We had a ball.
In May I completed my last assignment for my Graduate Diploma of Theology and immediately began to ponder what course of study I might start in 2013.
In August my baby girl was born! Life has been a hectic blur ever since as we settle into life as a family four and get to know the newest member of our family.
We finished up the year with a couple of firsts - our first holiday as a family of four and first Christmas for our little girl.
I am excited as I look to 2013. I'll be Graduating with a Graduate Diploma of Theology and starting a Graduate Diploma in Youth Mental Health. I'll be returning to work and putting my mind and energy to things other than babies and toddlers. I'll also be running a couple of woman's events in my local community. Finally, I look forward to reading more great books, The Indigo Spell and Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead, and Requiem by Lauren Oliver to name a couple; watching brilliant movies such as The Host, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire; and crocheting, I have a couple summer projects already under-way.
2012 was a fantastic year and will be hard to top but 2013 is already looking pretty good :-)
